Our Vision

Touch of Life Church is the realization of a dream, birthed by God, in the heart of Rick Cooper, and is a Church plant out of the church in Warsaw, Indiana. Several years ago Pastor Rick felt a call to the Indy area and saw a literal vision of an amazing ministry that sets the stage for the place, purpose and people that will be called Touch of Life Church-Fishers. Timing was the only issue, and the time has come! With T.L.C. in Warsaw thriving and leadership trained for the mission, we are embarking on a quest to fulfill the vision that has been carried in our hearts for many years.

We believe there are many incredible churches in Indianapolis, but there are still conservatively 500,000 un-churched people in the greater Metropolitan area and we want to do our part to share the Good News of the Gospel with them.

We will strive to create an atmosphere of love and acceptance for all who fellowship with us, knowing we have that as an example by Jesus and that we are a preview of a very integrated Heaven, and that every human on Earth is worthy of love. The greatest test and testimony of unity is in diversification, therefore by desire and design we purpose to see a church that represents every color, class and culture worshipping and serving side by side.

We have a passion for quality worship that is polished but not just a presentation. Worship that is very God-focused without being insensitive to a diversified audience. Worship that balances a time structure without hurrying intimacy with our Creator. Our talented and anointed Worship Leaders are committed to a lifestyle of praise and Christianity. Our main, overriding goal is to help people get to God and be changed by His presence!

We have a conviction that people should always be more important than buildings and programs and our budget should reflect that. That as much as we can allow, money should go to changing lives and to us being Jesus to a hurting world. We believe if we concentrate on these values, that God will provide all of the resources  we need to fulfill His purpose. Balanced out with that, is a goal to have a modern facility that is attractive, practical  and state of the art, as growth and God’s blessings allow. In the mean time, we will utilize whatever is made available by faith in God and the generosity of those God directs.

We believe the presentation of the Word should offer both encouragement and challenge in every message. Encouragement alone can lead to lack of growth and challenge alone can lead to lack of hope, so this balance must be maintained. It should be shared with passion, power and purpose. It should be a blend of respect for the integrity of Scripture and a relevant application for today. The Word is alive but can be more vividly understood with creative ideas (drama, props, video, etc.). Pastor Rick embodies all of this!

We have a strong desire to minister to the whole person -mind ,soul and body and to the whole familycradle to the golden years. From Connection Groups (small groups) to public events, we want to provide opportunities for Christian growth and opportunities for believers to develop meaningful relationships with unbelievers, as they share their faith and love.

We want to always keep our eyes on the Great Commission reaching out to the less fortunate in Indianapolis and wherever needs take us around the world. With active ministries in Haiti and Africa, we want to expand our help and influence to many parts of the Globe and the United States.

We envision a network of ministries working together, from diversified backgrounds, areas of expertise and even religions working together to reach the unreached for one common purpose – Christ’s Kingdom.

We see the Touch of Life Church as a lifetime commitment,  and dedicate our life and resources to its success and fulfillment till Christ sets up His Headquarters on Earth.

Our slogan is: The perfect church for those who are not and our vision statement is: Touching our world with life. We feel these two statements reflect the attitude and purpose we strive for.
